Proof of Concept

Home - Proof of Concept

Primary Objectives

    1. IoT proof of concept to confirm the validity of IoT initiative, deployment, solution and widget selection.
    2. User acceptance testing to help confirm that each IoT solution or widget is meets acceptance criteria for the testing regime and operating conditions.
    3. Quality assurance and compliance to ensure IoT proof of concept is completed on time, within budget and exceeds customer expectations.

Key Activities

  1. Key stakeholder interviews designed to understand IoT solution objectives, system integration considerations overall proof of concept goals for IoT solution deployment
  1. Project timeline definition to outline and prioritise key kick-off requirements, project phases, project activities, human resources, plant resources and tools that will support the project team over the course of the project lifecycle.
  1. Widget and technology testing to confirm that outlined IoT widgets and underlying technologies are capable and compatible in meeting the specified engineering designs proposed for the IoT solution.
  1. Limited IoT deployment including the field installation of the proof of concept according to user acceptance testing and pre-identified system integration configurations that include RF, electronic, mechanical and civil requirements.

Sample Deliverables

  1. IoT field installation as required by the validated and tested IoT solution and widget configurations.
  2. IoT provisioning, staging and onboarding as required by the IoT widgets to be utilised during the proof of concept such as devices, SIMs and configuration.
  3. Proof of concept report that outlines the results of validation and testing to arrive at optimal and sub-optimal solutions including recommendations for deployment and initiative roll-out.
